Imahe
Hi guys! Vanessa here and in today's blog is all about a play i watched during December and no, it's not about Christmas, but instead its about a well known folk tale that is very famous in our country and that is Biag ni Lam-ang and it was that folk epic that the University of the Philippines student's made  The play was held at the UP DULAANG LABORATORYO  with the tittle“LAM-ANG” Musikastorya ng Pag-ibig at Pakikipagsapalaran" which was based on the ilocano epic of  Mr. Pedro Bukaneg's “Biag ni Lam-ang” and was adapted in Tagalog by ms. Angel Acacio The  music they use for the play was made by Ms. Jen Darlene V. Torres and was directed by Mr. Fitz Edward Bitana; The playwrite was also made by ms. Christmas Cards!!!

Imahe
Hi guys!! Vanessa here and i am back for another blog and this time it's about a certain project that indeed challenge my skills as an artist. Our Prof gave us a project to make a Christmas cart with and the content must be a poem. I got really exited but i also got  worried because i had no idea  what to write and what to do back then. So i went to look on the internet to see what to put on, unfortunately i had no luck. Then one day i stumble upon a beautiful Christmas card from my relative from the states that has a water color design which lit my creative light bulb and thus i started making my very own water color Christmas card. This is what it looks like and this,to be honest, was my very first water color artwork that i have made and i have to say it was pretty worth making it. Merry Christmas indeed After making it i thought of the poem to write on it and the poem that i made is all about someone enjoying the simple beauty of Christmas and the p...

The Story book donation event

Imahe
Hi guys! It's me Vanessa and i am back for another blog and in this blog, i am going to tell you about a very special class project that our awesome professor came up which was a story telling event for the young children that is studying at our school.  The story about this particular event starts off when our professor Dr. Kristine M. Doria gave us a project in our Creative writing class to only make a children's story book.  So as some of us were finishing some of our stories, our professor suddenly came up on an idea to launch a small book donation event on the stories our class made.  We all agreed to it but then our professor came up with another thing...a story telling event  that the selected students that will donate their works will tell their stories which we all were all geared up to do. I was in charge of making the invitation while the others where assign to came up with their songs and other cool ice breakers to make the event...

Miss kita kung christmass (I miss you during christmas)

Hi guys!!       Vanessa here and first of all i knew 2018 just came in but i want you guys to see this cool song called "Miss kita kung Christmas" which was composed by Ayala, fe, lyrics by Hermie uy, arranged by Ed munji, and originally performed by the APO hari Society. Then got covered by Rico j. Puno, then Leah Salonga and so on.   The song "MISS KITA KUNG CHRISTMAS"   is about someone missing his/her former lover on Christmas day and in this song it is clear that he/she is having a hard time moving on especially that Christmas reminds him/her the memories that had on that special time This song was given to us during our Drama and play production as an activity in regards on the topic on auditions on plays and then our awesome professor came up on an idea to do an A Capella version of the lovely song which is the what you'll see in the video.  I want to admit that i'm not the best singer...but hey it's worth a shot right hehe ...

Drama and Play Quiz...A quiz no one though of!!!

Hello guys!!!  Vanessa here and in today's blog i am gonna show you a quiz that my wonderful professor gave us and i must say...it was quite unexpected So here is the simple detail on it...our professor gave us a task for our first quiz and that's to create a skit about the certain topic she will be giving and the topic she gave us is: " Common things we see in the community or streets" When we got the topic my group mates/best friends went on thinking on scenarios and  how it would fit the assigned topic. To be honest i was so worried that what we though might backfire when we actually perform it. At  first we thought on street poker, then videoke singing party...but we actually thought that it might get too complicated so we went on people doing side jobs like nail cleaning, fighting, and zumba dancing.  The process to make this skit really took us four hours and it was really fun since while we were doing this people thought that there was really ...

The first activity of the semester: The A Capella Version of " COTABATO!"

Hi guys!       Vanessa here and i'm here to share a few of my college activities that i have been working on this second semester and some of them will definitely make you smile, but that might  just  be me hehe but without further ado here's one that's definitely a cool start of the second semester.  The Cotabato song This song was popularized by the Filipino pop group Asin during the 70s. This poignant song that tells of a place that is war-torn made Cotabato infamous, yet there is much sensitivity and beauty of love and lore beneath.  In the video though me and my fellow classmates made a small cover of the iconic song featuring The whole AB third year students. If you guys are curious to find where i am look closely *wink*. Honestly, when i sang the song along with my classmates, we all felt the song's deep emotion and struggles wherein it was indeed a sad, sad tragedy to be in.
