Walls Between two worlds ( The journey before the screening)
Hi guys!
Vanessa here and in today's blog is all about our play "Wall
between two worlds" and I'm going to tell you about how I felt about it
and the experience of doing a musical play.
So lets begin by the writing process of the play and I must say
our play writers Chris Viernes and Denis Matnog really took a lot of
brainstorming and process of writing the concept and the characters as a whole.
The process was fun since we all put on our efforts and idea to make the play
more amazing which it did.

When we finished the writing process the play started to get busy from the practices, designing, costume planning, promotional posters, music editing and choreography and it was…really hard because we are also doing all of this after classes and by more pressure during the foundation week
The role I got in our play by the way is a tomboy rebel named
Isaybalubar and my character is also known as friends with the lead character
Berto. My role made me feel anxious at first since I’m not really a lesbian but
I managed to get by with the help of my mentors and friends…especially at the
singing department.

On the day of the play though we really did got nervous because it
was a bit nerve-racking to see and perform in front of so many people but that
feeling went off shortly and went on rather good at our first and second
screening…but I must say we had to face some troubles like the lights and
sound’s timing and noise but it was worth it since we made everyone happy and
sad for watching it.
During this event though we also gave our remarks to the fourth
year AB students for they also did a great job on helping us and the award is
also a small gift we give to then because they will be leaving our dear
almamater soon.
